Gargano
Gargano promontory is colour, nature, art, history, traditions.

SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO
San Giovanni Rotondo is famous thanks to Saint Padre Pio, the monk who wanted the built of the Casa del Sollievo della Sofferenza, a relaly important Hospital, among the most appreciated in the Southern Italy.
Padre Pio was recently declared Saint due to the numerous miracles people confer to him; that is why a lot of pilgrims come to San Giovanni Rotondo every year.
La Foresta Umbra
The Foresta Umbra is a woods whose vegetation is not easy to be found in other places. It has about 11.000 hectares, it is rich in Aleppo pines, hundreds of years old beeches, white and black hornbeams, bay trees, oaks and yews that are among the most ancient in the whole Italy. We suggest you excursions and walks with guides to admire all this.
Tremiti Island
Tremiti Islands are a slice of Heaven on earth: cliffs, quiet bays, rocks and faraglioni, clear waters... the most appreciated by divers. Beloved to Diomede, Greek hero, legend talks about his mates, who were transformed by Venus in marine birds called Diomedee and that still nowadays, at night with the Full Moon, emit a little scream that sounds like the children crying.
MONTE SANT'ANGELO
Monte Sant'Angelo dominates, with its 800 meters, from a side the Tavoliere and from the other the Gulf of Manfredonia. It has a typical Medieval village, and the city is famous for its Sanctuary, every year visited by a lot of pilgrims.
On a rock, rich inside in grottos and caves, it has a lot of monuments, among which the Palatina Basilica, that preserves the marble statue of the Saint.
